At Smart Village Movement, we value the open exchange of ideas and collaborations among stakeholders. We've all heard the saying Knowledge is Power. We would like to humbly assert that it is SHARED KNOWLEDGE that is real power. When forces unite in bringing their unique wisdom and experience to the table, true innovation and growth takes place. We call this Open-Innovation and Co-Innovation. This is the founding principle of Smart Village Movement, and we will stand by collaborations versus competition any day!

In this month's newsletter, we introduce you to some new collaborations and partners in our Smart Village Movement ecosystem. And SVM is proud to endorse them because we support their vision & mission in developing the world.

SVM emphasizes innovative education, and real-world challenges by increasing the focus on a well-rounded, practical, skill-based education. Our last newsletter discussed the importance of more hands-on STEM education with a project-based learning approach in Part 1 of our Blog- The Future of Smart Learning – Embracing STEM in the Indian Classroom. On the 27th of August 2022,Sparsh Shah, a talented singer and international motivational speaker, performed in an event called “SKY IS NOT THE LIMIT” in Ahmedabad, India, co-hosted by Smart Village Movement and Vishv Umiya Foundation.

As more students continue to enroll in the Meraki Python course, it was imperative to make them aware of the many opportunities ahead of them. Therefore, in collaboration with NavGurukul Foundation and Amazon, Smart Village Movement organized an exciting "Amazon Class Chat" session for the Navgurukul's Meraki Python Course students.

We were glad to have Akash Roy in the chat, a Product Planning Analyst at Amazon who manages the operation of the Amazon Poland warehouse. Akash gave an insightful presentation to the students, interacted with them, and answered all kinds of curious questions our students had. Read More

A ‘Smart Village’, is an inclusive environment where all people have equal opportunities to succeed. We research and understand the challenges in communities we work in and share these on an inclusive Co-Innovation open Platform where companies, universities, government, or any individual can come together to share and help one another in solving problems for underserved communities. With this core principle, Smart Village Movement is proud to introduce Voice of SAP (VOSAP) to the state of Meghalaya to reach a wider community.

In a recent stakeholder meeting organized by SVM in collaboration with the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Meghalaya, the VOSAP Founder, Mr. Pranav Desai, presented their mission to Meghalaya Government officers and NGOs working for the welfare of the specially-abled to understand the needs of these special population of the State and bridge these gaps through its initiatives.

Voice of SAP- Voice of Specially Abled People has directly helped 13,000+ SAPs and is currently present in 10 Indian States. Smart Village Movement believes in inclusivity and equality to enable people from all walks of life and abilities to participate in the community and economy with dignity and self-empowerment. Smart Village Movement welcomes Yuva Pay– Creating an alternative payment acceptance network using UPI123 for remote payments and collections for rural-enabled corporates and social enterprises. Yuva Pay joins SVM Ecosystem as a solution provider and corporate partner under the Household/ Livelihood vertical to facilitate ease of making digital payments in remote areas with zero connectivity. They are creating a Digital Footprint for the last mile population, which opens a multitude of opportunities for increased consumption and creation of financial products. In One phrase – Yuva Pay is the Fintech solution for the “Next Billion Users.”

Yuva Pay demonstrated interest in joining the Smart Village Movement Ecosystem through our Co-Innovation Platform. SVM, along with Yuva Pay, aims to bring Yuva Pay’s innovative technology to facilitate uninterrupted digital payments in rural areas. Read More

Smart Village Movement, in alliance with Berkeley-Haas, builds an ecosystem that provides learning opportunities to children in underserved rural areas. In Part 1 of our STEM Blog, we discussed how STEM education is the need of the hour to help students make the leap from technology users to innovators. With combined support from the government, corporates, and education organizations, we explored the opportunities and benefits that a robust STEM education offers. In this Part 2 of the STEM Blog, we discuss the tools and resources available globally to incorporate STEM education at age-appropriate stages in school and the community. This article also showcases the various pilot projects and initiatives undertaken by Smart Village Movement Meghalaya in North East India.
