Salesforce Trailblazer Lab Welcomes Villagers in Sohrarim

The Salesforce Trailblazer Lab in Sohrarim village, East Khasi Hills developed by Smart Village Movement (SVM), Sauramandala Foundation, the Open Door Project, and Project DEFY, began operations in August with the community showing a keen interest in the activities organized at the lab. The entire lab is powered by 12 KW solar panels provided by Hygge Energy

The lab has been organizing daily activities with the children of the community providing quality education and technology training. With computers and a library filled with a wide array of books speaking about special focus on North Eastern literature, along with educational toys, the lab has been engaging children in creative ways. The community also played a part in setting the lab up by actively participating in painting the lab with beautiful murals.

Robotics and 3D Printing Learning for Kids With Curiosity Gym

Curiosity Gym is one of the many components of the Salesforce Trailblazer lab in Sohrarim aiming to achieve the goals of empowering the rural community through education. With the beginning of operations, Curiosity Gym’s technology training also started with the community children enthusiastically participating in learning computers, robotics, and other technologies at the lab.

Mr. Prathamesh from Curiosity Gym trained the local entrepreneur Mr. Richborn who will teach residents about 3D Printing setup, basics of 3D printing, and a learning session on robotics for children.
