Update: Vatrak Cardiac & Vascular Hospital

Smart Village Movement, March 5, 2026

Last year, we shared with you the beginning of a meaningful journey — the announcement of a new hospital in Vatrak, along with the Bhoomi Poojan that marked its first step.

Today, we are grateful to bring you an important update.

In and around Vatrak and the Aravalli region, access to advanced cardiac and specialized healthcare continues to remain extremely limited. For many families, critical treatment still means traveling long distances to larger cities — often leading to delays, financial strain, and, in some cases, avoidable loss of life.

This is exactly the gap we set out to address.

The Vatrak Cardiac & Vascular Hospital is being developed as a state-of-the-art, super-specialty facility dedicated to advanced heart and vascular care. With an initial investment of ₹90 crore, the first phase will include 76 beds and essential infrastructure to deliver timely, high-quality treatment closer to home.

The hospital will be equipped with advanced cardiac catheterization labs, facilities for structural heart disease interventions, and specialized peripheral vascular treatments. In addition, dedicated centers such as an Amputation Prevention Center and a Vascular Access Center for dialysis patients will ensure comprehensive and continuous care for those who need it most.

Importantly, this facility is designed to serve not just North Gujarat, but also neighboring regions of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh — extending its impact far beyond Vatrak.

As part of a long-term vision, a dedicated Cancer Hospital is also planned as the next phase, further strengthening access to life-saving care in the region.

We are now entering a significant milestone: construction is scheduled to begin in the first week of May 2026.

This marks a major step forward in our commitment to ensuring that no patient has to travel far from home for critical care. The hospital aims to improve survival rates through early diagnosis and timely intervention, while also reducing the emotional and financial burden on families.

Beyond healthcare, the initiative will strengthen regional infrastructure, create local employment opportunities, and evolve into a long-term center of excellence for rural healthcare.

Every contribution towards this project directly supports building vital infrastructure, equipping advanced medical facilities, and delivering essential healthcare services — helping bring dignity, accessibility, and compassion to those who need it most.
